Art Mentors Reception

This week begins our Spring 26 gallery season at the Erman B White Gallery. We are opening with an invitational exhibit titled “Art Mentors.” It features the work of 17 Kansas art educators who maintain a professional studio practice along with their teaching profession. We have asked each educator to exhibit one of their artworks alongside the work of one student who has benefited from their art mentorship. From our exhibition statement: Sometimes, the influence is obvious in these objects- similarities in media or technique, formal considerations that seem to play off each other. Other times, the impact might be less direct- unique voices that encourage mutual growth.
