Gold Fest Vendor Information

​Our wonderful vendors make Gold Fest a success! Whether you’re serving up tasty eats, sharing handmade goods, or explaining your one-of-a-kind services, you’re a big part of what makes this event special. Keep reading for all the details you need to be part of the excitement. We can’t wait to work with you!

Food Court applications are closed. We are only accepting Artisan Market Vendors at this time.

All vendors must apply and be accepted. Round 2 applications close July 31 at 11:59 p.m. Vendors will be notified via email within two weeks if the application was accepted.

Gold Fest 2026 is September 24-26.

​

Merchandise is subject to review and approval. Multi-tier and direct sales businesses will not be approved.

Three-day & One-day Vendors

New this year - vendors may set up for three days (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday), or one day (Saturday only)!

​

Three-day Artisan Market vendors will be open noon to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at the Train Depot, 430 N. Main St.

One-day Artisan Market vendors will be open noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, lining Main Street from Central Ave. to the Train Depot.

​

In addition, we are accepting applications for one food vendor at the Train Depot on Thursday and Friday, with the option on Saturday to stay at the Train Depot or move to the Block Party Food Court.​

Collecting Sales Tax

All federal, state and local laws governing retail sales tax must be followed.

​

Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting sales tax. Proof of valid State of Kansas Tax ID is required with application. The Retailers' Sales Tax Event Registration Certificate will be available to approved vendors and will be provided in vendor packets during check in. Vendors must display either their own or the event's sales tax certificate.

​

The Gold Fest vendor list and tax ID numbers are provided to the Kansas Department of Revenue annually.

Vendor Licenses & Insurance

Proof of appropriate licenses must be onsite, including permission to sell trademarked merchandise.

​

All vendors preparing food onsite must provide a Food Establishment License from the Kansas Department of Agriculture. Once approved, food vendors must provide a certificate of liability insurance for $1,000,000 naming the City of El Dorado as an additional insured.

Vendors are subject to inspection by the Kansas Department of Agriculture and Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

Vendor Booth Space

Artisan Market vendors will receive a 10-foot by 10-foot booth space and must stay within their space. Food Court vendors will receive adequate space for truck, trailer or canopy.​ Tow vehicles are not allowed to stay in the festival zone. Three day vendors may be inside or outside. One day vendors will be outside.

Vendors must provide their own electricity, using quiet generators or power stations. Trash carts will be at each food vendor space.

​

Vendors must provide their own tents/canopies, tables, and chairs. Tents/canopies must be weighted with at least 25 pounds per pole.

Wooden Nickels

Experience El Dorado issues wooden nickels to event volunteers who work two or more two-hour shifts. This is a very popular volunteer perk!

 

Each wooden nickel is worth $10 at Food Court and Artisan Market vendors. Bar vendors are excluded.

​

At the end of the festival, an Experience El Dorado representative will buy back any wooden nickels redeemed. Buy back is $10 per wooden nickel.

Artisan Market one-day vendors: $75

Gold Fest sponsors: Free

Non-profit & 501c3 organizations: Free

​​

All vendors preparing food onsite will be placed in the Food Court. Select snack vendors may also be placed in the Food Court.
