Market Information and Guidelines
Vendor Application

All vendors must apply and be accepted.

Applications are accepted all season. Initial applications are due seven days before the market. Once the application is approved, the vendor will be contacted.

Vendor orientation is June 2, 2024. More information to come.

The market promotes items grown, raised, and produced in Kansas. Vendors and merchandise are subject to review and approval. Vendors selling duplicate or similar products may be placed on a waiting list. Multi-tier and direct sales businesses will not be approved. No other solicitors will be approved. (Exceptions may be made for special theme markets).
Vendor Fees

Vendor fee: $20 per 10-foot by 10-foot booth, per market

Food truck fee: $30 per market

Fees are due the day of the market.
Collecting Sales Tax

All vendors must provide proof of valid State of Kansas Tax ID with application.
-
The vendor list and tax ID numbers are provided to the Kansas Department of Revenue annually.
-
All federal, state, and local laws governing retail sales tax must be followed.

Vendor Licenses

Food vendors must provide proof of appropriate licensing with application.

Farmers markets and market vendors are subject to inspection by the Kansas Department of Agriculture and Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

Vendor Booth Space

Vendors will receive a 10-foot by 10-foot outdoor booth space and must stay within their space.

Vendors must provide their own electricity, using quiet generators.

Vendors must provide their own tents/canopies, tables, and chairs. Tents/canopies must be weighted.

FarmShop offers resources for a successful booth-selling experience.
Vendor Loading and Parking

Check-in at 8 a.m.
-
Limited load-in parking is available in the slanted parking spots to the east of the park. Vendors will park in the Parks and Recreation Department Shop parking lot at 422 E. Locust Ave.

Tear-down begins when the market closes at 2 p.m.
