UPDATE AS OF 11 A.M., Saturday, July 4

Hey El Dorado! We’re going to ensure that you have great weather this evening by rescheduling the BIG FIREWORKS SHOW to tomorrow night. As of 11 a.m., Emergency Operations Staff are predicting a 50% chance of severe weather over El Dorado this evening. Now watch, it’ll all go around us! And that would be great, but the fireworks folks have to start set up now and we’re going to err on the side of caution.

The Veterans Ceremony and baseball game are still on!!! Come out for giveaways: Wendy’s frosties, shirts for all veterans, commemorative America 250 hand fans, and other surprise goodies!

Gates open at 5 p.m.

Veterans Ceremony starts at 6:15 p.m.

El Dorado Walnuts and U.S. Military WarDogs will battle it out at 7 p.m.

So, here’s the new game plan - Head over to McDonald Stadium at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.) on Sunday, July 5, for an America 250 grand finale. Sit in the stadium or bring your blankets and sit on the field.
