Voices of Butler County Poetry Cafe

Voices of Butler County Café is a relaxed, family-friendly community showcase celebrating the creativity, stories, and voices connected to Butler County.

Join us for an evening of local creativity featuring poetry, storytelling, creative writing, music, visual art, scripts, personal reflections, and more. Each Café is a little different because the program is shaped by the people who participate and the work they choose to share.

Want to participate?

Submissions are open to anyone with a connection to Butler County. You do not have to currently live in the county, and your work does not have to be specifically about Butler County. The connection can take many forms. You might have grown up here, have family here, have been inspired by a place or experience here, or have another meaningful connection to the county.

We welcome creative work from all ages and experience levels. This isn't about being a professional writer or artist. It's about creating a welcoming space for people to share something they've created and celebrate the many voices that make up our community.

For those interested in performing or displaying their work, submissions are due October 10. Selected participants will be announced October 12.
