SPRING FLING, the Butler County Senior Resource Fair, is Wednesday, April 30, 2025. The event is in El Dorado, Kansas, from 9:00 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Visitors to the fair have two locations to visit - the Civic Center (201 E. Central) and the Butler County Community Building (206 Griffith). Both venues are within one block from each other. Booths offering information on a range of goods, services, and information for seniors will be at both locations. SPRING FLING is the largest event in Butler County focused on seniors and their caregivers. Spring Fling is always a great way to have fun while learning about the services, trends, and opportunities for today's older adults and caregivers. The Butler County Department on Aging is looking forward to another successful year in 2025. The 2025 theme is celebrating the 1960s.
OVERVIEW OF SPRING FLING: Attendance is always strong with approximately 600 visitors and over 100 booths to visit. Information, door prizes and giveaways are at every booth.
Various activities are planned at each location. Lunches are available at each location. A free shuttle helps visitors park at either location and ride the shuttle the next site. Free golf cart rides help people get from their cars to the Civic Center or Community Building.
SPONSORS help make Spring Fling possible. The wonderful support of sponsors is deeply appreciated. Please visit each sponsor booth at the fair. Each visitor will get a punch card listing all of the fairs' sponsors. Visit each of their booths, have them sign or "punch" your card, then return the card to one of the four Butler County Department on Aging booths to enter your name into a large prize drawing. All sponsor booth signatures will have to be present on the card to be eligible to win. Cards will be available at the Welcome Table as you enter each location.
