Join us for Voices of Butler County Café Night, an evening celebrating the creativity, stories, and voices of our local community. Hosted by the Kansas Oil Museum, this family-friendly event will feature a lineup of pre-selected performers sharing original work in a relaxed, coffeehouse-style setting.
Performances may include:
• Poetry
• Spoken word
• Short storytelling
• Descriptive writing
• Historical reflections
• Readings inspired by local places or experiences
All performances will connect in some way to Butler County—its people, history, places, or personal memories. This event highlights the power of storytelling and creative expression to connect us with our shared local heritage.
Coffee and treats will be available for purchase, so bring your friends and family and enjoy a cozy evening of community storytelling.
Interested in performing?
We are accepting 12–15 performers for the evening. Each performer will have 3–5 minutes to share their work. There is no age limit on who can submit. Students and adults welcome.
